Doctor Who original soundtrack has been played for so many years and is recognized by almost anyone. The first ever music release for the Doctor Who show was recorded in cassete and marketed in the year 1978. The first releases were mostly sound effects of the show. And it was released during the time of Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker in Doctor Who. The latest Doctor Who soundtrack created was composed by Murray Gold for the Series 4 of the show and was released in the year 2008. Doctor Who Season 4 DVD

The Doctor Who Season 4 DVD was aired last December 25, 2007 with the 10th Doctor, David Tennant. The ‘Voyage of the Damned’ was the Christmas Special and it continued on April 5, 2008 with its first regular episode entitled ‘Partners in Crime’. The Doctor Who Season 4 has a total of 13 regular episodes ending with the ‘Journey’s End’ episode. Another Christmas Special was then aired last December 25, 2008 entitled ‘The Next Doctor’. The whole series ended last March 29, 2008. David Tennant was voted as the favorite Doctor beating Tom Baker, a survey that was conducted in the year 2006.
The Season 4 of Doctor Who had 15 episodes, with 2 special episodes, rather than the usual 14 episodes because it was decided that the next season will not be aired until the year 2010. There were 2 short-special episodes for Children in Need and Doctor Who Prom.
