Just like the other seasons of Doctor Who, Doctor Who Season 5 will be highly-anticipated by its avid fans. Though, the lead role of "the Doctor" will be portrayed by the eleventh doctor Matt Smith. David Tennant who is the current lead role of "the Doctor" season 4 has announced that he will be exiting the said TV series.

Doctor Who Season 5 will be released in the Spring of 2010. Aside from the replacement of the lead role there are also changes on the production team of the hit TV series. The story will start where in David Tennant as the "the Doctor" will be injured in the last episode of Doctor Who Season 4. To be able to regenerate, part of it is changing his appearance as Matt Smith as the new Doctor.

Doctor Who Season 5 will be much-anticipated for sure especially with a new actor to play the lead role. This TV show has consistently topped the weekly charts and for sure will continue doing so. Even with different actors playing "the Doctor" the show still does not fail to impress its audience that is why until now it is continuously being produced.
