The first Doctor Who Soundtrack cassette tape was released in the year 1978. The latest Doctor Who soundtrack was released in the year 2008 which is for the Series 4 composed by Murray Gold.
For several years, there were approximately 10 composers for the Doctor Who soundtrack which makes Murray Gold the latest composer. The first 6 releases of the Doctor Who soundtrack was in a cassette tape format then evolved to CD then finally mp3 downloads.
